Our company received funding for "321" Leading Talent Project in Nanjing

The project of "VOCs Pollution Removal Catalytic Degradation Functional Activated Carbon Preparation Technology" developed by our company and Northeast Forestry University was funded by the "321" Leading Talent Project in Nanjing.

Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation and other scientific research projects, this project has carried out systematic research in the field of new biomass-based porous carbon, targeted preparation of carbon adsorption materials and functionalization of wood and biomass carbon materials. The adsorption mechanism of biomass-based porous carbon materials on several typical pollutants was proposed, and a porous carbon preparation process based on porous carbon and surface chemical structure modification for specific organic micro-pollutants removal was developed. The active mechanism of heteroatom-modified TiO₂ was revealed. Pilot-scale production was achieved based on VOCs catalytic degradation of functional framework foam carbon and VOCs removal of adsorption / photocatalytic functional activated carbon. The product has the ability to efficiently adsorb and degrade VOCs that cause serious harm to the human body. The product has: (1) broad spectrum, catalytic degradation functional activated carbon completely degrades VOCs and finally produces CO₂ and H₂O; (2) Catalytic degradation reaction can be carried out at normal temperature and pressure; (3) Sterilization and disinfection. Nano-TiO₂ used for photocatalysis also has the function of killing microorganisms.

 Relevant scientific research achievement "Porous carbon-nano oxide semiconductor synergy mechanism and functional material synthesis mechanism" won the second prize of the Natural Science Category of the Ministry of Education in 2013, and authorized 2 invention patents.

In summary, activated carbon products with the function of removing VOCs pollutants are of great social significance to promote the upgrading of China's activated carbon industry and improve people's health.
